Wooden snow fence is a product that is mainly used to keep snow drifts of a specific piece of land. Every year cities and counties purchase thousands or rolls and align their highways and byways in order to keep the snow from drifting into the road. A lot of national parks use snow fence in the winter to guide guests in the right directions and to help keep the pedestrian paths clear.
Airports are also a major user of wooden snow fence. It is increasingly difficult to keep large runways clear of snow for safe landing without someway to keep the snow from drifting. Wooden snow fence allows for airport authorities to flow the runways without the snow drifting back into the way of airplanes.
But is snow the only use for wooden snow fence? No in fact one the largest uses in the south are to align the beach with wooden sand fence. This keeps the sand where the authorities want to keep the sand. It enables dunes and sand piles to be kept in tact during storms or heavy rain storms. No one wants all the sand to wash away from the beach, and wooden sand snow works like a charm.
Another use for wooden snow fence is for green houses, they actually use it as a table and it lets the plans rest on a firm table top. But it also allows are and water to go through enabling the green house to be more efficient and better equipped. Greenhouses are constantly looking for new ways to improve their growing potential and wooden snow fence has been allowing them to do that.
